State-of-the-Art Technologies in Piezoelectric Deformable Mirror Design

In this work, two advanced technologies were applied for manufacturing a bimorph wavefront corrector: laser ablation, to vaporize conductive silver coating from piezoceramic surface, and parallel-gap resistance microwelding, provide reliable electrical contact between the piezodisk surface electrodes copper wires. A step-by-step guide mirror production is presented, together with ‘bottlenecks’. Optimization of ablation technique was carried out using an Nd:YAG output power 4 W frequency 20 kHz. comparison ultrasonic welding microwelding methods performed. The tensile strength in first case range 0.2…0.25 N system ‘copper wire–silver coating’. use made it possible increase value parameter same pair by almost times (0.45…0.5 N).
